I know people who frequently use Java chat rooms and little java widgets and they still crash. I'm on a Mac so I just use Safari as my main browser which I can't really tell apart from Firefox except that I was unable to access the Java blog-editing tool with Safari. Now that that widget is dead in Firefox, I'm back in Safari full-time with Ecto for posting blog posts. I wonder why it is that Java still sucks seven (?) years later. When I run it in Windows (yeah, yeah :p), the window using Java will go away but the process will hang in the background, eating tons of RAM and locking my profile.
