Apparently, virtualization (a la Virtual PC or VMWare) will require a complete ground up rewrite and board level simultaneous boot is something that only exists on 64 bit super servers like Alphas. So it will be interesting to see when/if Apple can release something like VPC. Or I wonder if Microsoft will do it? After all, they are happy to sell more copies of Windows XP if Apple can make this work. The galling part for the users is having to pay twice for the O/S, twice for their copies of Microsoft Office, twice for.....

I know so many former Windows people who have bought MacBooks already, this is going to seal the deal. I think the people who are saying that there will be virtualization in 10.5 too are on the right track too - it's best for apple if the people who need this never have to leave the warm embrace of OS X.

On the other hand, now it requires rebooting, we'll see who amongst my Mac newbie friends are just poseurs. I'll be watching you, guys :-)
