I kinda agree with Brad that most VC's are just structured differently and a lot of little deals is not something they can "Deal" with. It appears 2b an "angel" arena but from what I've seen its a similiar model (just a lower end) with smaller stages (not that it seems that way 2 a startup).

Methinks there maybe a new shift required 2 address this "new" need. Maybe something between an automated VC/angel proposition/proposal and a micro-loan type scheme where the numbers could b balanced. (Note: there are several players in the micro-loan arena - not sure if any specific towards startups within the internet world)

However the 'funding' model and business (when we are taking about vc/angel and equity funding) is heavily based around human personal interaction/recommendations (some may say 'old boys club') and hence the 'automated' approach won't work in that scenario.

Just my 2c
