Thank you for this one Troy. This is awesome. If we try to look, many business oriented individuals are more on blogging which I guess a great help. Where everybody can post anything they want to. It is a good way in sharing ideas.

Thanks..

Hi Ted!

Thanks for your comment. I really enjoyed all three of the books I mentioned (including yours and Holtz). What I didn’t mention was the other three real stinkers that I was going to warn people away from. I didn’t want to give them any coverage. So, congratulations on getting a good book out to market. I hope you do well with it!

As for the “dullness” issue....you know what? You’re right. That had been niggling at the back of my brain and hadn’t made it to the forefront yet. I might consider “the tax advantages of owning agricultural land” to be horrendously dull and other people might find it incredibly exciting. So, I agree with your point. I might even update the post.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to meet you in person sometime as I’m usually at all the Web 2.0 type conferences. I’ll be at AJAX world in NY in March and Web 2.0 Expo in April so perhaps we can say hi in person.

Troy

Wow, you just about said it all, and very well!
I'll only add on the "dullness issue." I hear this nonsense of "the dull should not blog" quite often. Dullness is in the eyes of the beholder!
Dull to me and dull to my accountant and dull to my mother are three very different things! No dullness police please :)
Whether someone or something is dull is an opinion.
If it's dull to me, I don't criticize, I just go away!
Thanks for the killer post!

This is an excellent article. Here's what Business Week magazine said about blogging on 2 May 2005: "It doesn't matter whether you're shipping paper clips, pork bellies or videos of Britney in a bikini, blogs are a phenomenon that you cannot ignore, postpone or delegate. Given the changes blogs are not a business elective, they are a prerequisite." As an Internet Psychologist I'm confident that blogging has tremendous psychological advantages that will help connect more people to your business than you ever thought possible.
