Thanks Morgan. Yes, we just ended up trying Dropbox, Egnyte, and Box.net. I’d say that Dropbox was the simplest, fastest, easiest, and cheapest. Next would be Box.net. I’d avoid Egnyte for your use case – probably overkill. Good luck and glad you liked the post!

Great summary of the ups and downs of the online storage industry. Easy and funny to read, I wish more news articles read like that. I have a windows laptop for work and my wife has a macbook at home. I like the sleekness, simplicity and speed of the mac but cant really (maybe reluctant) to go to mac b/c of work files and windows based stuff. SO I have been looking at online storage to access from anywhere any device (looking at netbooks also). I use google apps and salesforce alot and would love to see a gdrive or my stuff service launched. I may end up trying skydrive for the time being.
